You can have this for breakfast, snack or even dessert. In addition to the fruits, the smoothie is made creamier with plain nonfat yogurt and sweetened with natural honey and vanilla extract.
Ingredients:
1 ripe Banana, sliced
1 cup Ice
1 cup Harris Teeter (HT) Plain Nonfat Yogurt
2 tablespoons Natural Honey, or to taste
1 teaspoon HT Vanilla Extract
1/2 cup HT frozen Strawberries, thawed
1/2 cup HT frozen Blueberries, thawed
2 tablespoons Flax Seeds, ground
Directions:
1. Blend the banana, ice, yogurt, honey and vanilla extract together until the banana is well blended.
2. Add the strawberries and blueberries and blend on low speed for 30 seconds or until frothy. Stir in flax seeds. Pour into clear glasses and serve cold.
